Where in Zambia do we visit?

We started with a few principles…….

* Zambia is a birders' paradise with more than 750 different bird species.

* The indigenous Black-Cheeked Lovebird can be seen nowhere else

* Kafue is the largest national park in Zambia, at 22500 square kilometres, the size of a small country - with around 500 bird species recorded in the park it is a true birder’s paradise

* The mighty Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River are unmissable destinations whilst on holiday in Zambia

* Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp and Waterberry Zambezi Lodge are unique lodges with expert bird guides and fantastic facilities  – our guests constantly praise our  enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff and the wide ranging experiences of holidaying with us.

On our Birding in Zambia tours you will stay at Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp- in the heart of South Kafue and Waterberry Zambezi Lodge, on the banks of the Zambezi, close to Victoria Falls. You can see and read more about both lodges on the "Accommodation" page.

The tours start either in Livingstone or in Lusaka, before travelling to both lodges. Whilst at Waterberry you will take a day trip into Botswana on the Chobe River, where you will be guided in this birders’ paradise, too.

Of course, there are many other amazing birding sites in Zambia. If you wish, our tour organisers will happily arrange accommodation in other areas to extend you experience (and, of course, your bird list too!)
