Who will be your expert bird-guide?
Cuba Kalumbu has been a professional birding guide for over 10 years and has worked throughout Zambia as well as in Namibia and Malawi.
Born in the Kalungula District of Zambia, Cuba has previously worked with " Jungle Junction" and "Bob the Birder".
He is an ardent, and highly knowledgeable birder who likes nothing better than to be wandering around the bush with a pair of binoculars in his hands. His friendly manner and infectious enthusiasm make him a popular guide with many of his guests.
Webster (Webbie) Sitwala is based at Waterberry Zambezi Lodge and
is a Lozi from Western Province
.
He gained his lifelong love of birds from his grandfather and then went on to formal birding training at the famous "Jungle Junction".
His ability to recognise, describe and imitate birdsong is second to none – and he is at his happiest guiding birding enthusiasts along the river bank at Waterberry, from our boat on the Zambezi, or further afield on the Upper Zambezi and into Chobe, Botswana. Webbie always proves to be hugely popular with his guests, regardless of whether they are new to birding or experts themselves.
Birding in Zambia is proud to have the support and advice of International Guide, Chris Worden, who by special arrangement, can accompany small groups of up to six through Zambia so that you can get the very best out of your birding and wildlife experience.
Chris is also ready to give advice about where to go and what to see if you want to extent your trip beyond Kafue and Livingstone - you can find his contact details at on the Contact Us page.

Following this he operated safaris – overland photographic trips, tented camps and walking safaris - in the Lake Kariba area and in 1995 he became a founder member of the Zambezi Safari and Travel Company, which puts together tailor made safaris.
Chris has led safaris all over sub-Saharan Africa and considers parts of Zambia to be his “back garden”! He is an accomplished wildlife photographer, and also a keen ornithologist. His three-year study on the White Faced Owl (Strix leucotis) has been published in many leading bird books, including the definitive Roberts Birds of Southern Africa.
