Welcome to "Birding In Zambia"
Birding in Zambia is a new initiative from two small, individual, independently owned safari lodges - Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp and Waterberry Zambezi Lodge - designed to give you a holiday that's the best of all worlds – fantastic birding, glorious countryside, wildlife, Zambezi river trips and Victoria Falls.
Zambia is an enormous country – in area the size of Germany, France and Benelux combined but with only 5% of the population.
Vast tracts of countryside remain untouched and unexplored, havens for wildlife and a huge number of birds so that every walk and drive is a birding adventure.
So many of our guests have enjoyed our birdlife, guided with enthusiasm and pride by our resident expert guides, that we have put together specialist packages for the holiday of a lifetime that combine the opportunity to see the unique, indigenous Black Cheeked Lovebird in the remote Kafue wilderness with visits to the stunning Victoria Falls – and some of the most rewarding birding of your life.
